If you’re looking for a brunch in San Diego featuring “New Zealand” cuisine, try Queenstown Bistro at Westfield UTC. Don’t just take my word for it, take it from Oliver, a friend of mine from New Zealand who just happens to be studying at California Western School of Law this fall. We had brunch together at Queenstown Bistro and it was truly delicious. Their brunch menu is robust but simple, the outdoor seating is a nice surprise, and the ambiance was classy and calm. The brunch is divine, and the cost of brunch is much more reasonable than most brunch spots in San Diego. I’d say it’s an inexpensive brunch in San Diego. As for my friend, what did he say?
The Brekkie is “as New Zealand as it gets!”
Consisting of scrambled eggs, bacon, grilled tomato, New Zealand baked beans, toast and country potatoes, the Brekkie is a classic New Zealand meal. It even impressed my friend Oliver, an authentic, genuine New Zealander. At only $12, this a huge plate with a small price to pay.
The French Toast Bread Pudding was seriously, wonderfully, tremendously scrumptious. The goodness of their whipped ricotta and strawberry infusion is something I’ll never forget. It was only $12.
My Croissant Sandwich was heavenly, filling, and I felt like a king eating it. At only $10 — you just can not go wrong.
Thankfully, they serve a quite tasty cup of coffee as well. For brunch at a bistro, this place is tops! You get delicious, remarkable brunch food, without paying notorious pricey brunch bills. Their brunch goes from 11 am – 2 pm on Saturday and Sunday only.
