Point Loma Fish Shop has a great new location at 1110 Rosecrans Street, next to Shelter Island in Point Loma with their to-be-expected fantastic seafood dishes, great beer selection and laid back, friendly vibes. Very San Diego! If you’re looking for a casual, clean, open-air and breezy seafood spot for lunch or dinner in San Diego, this new Point Loma Fish Shop is ready for you. It has a dog friendly patio and there’s plenty of parking. We enjoyed our trip and you will too.
Like many modern restaurants these days, ordering is broken down into bite size DIY choices.
Pick a fish. Pick a marinade. Pick a style.
For your main entree at Point Loma Fish Shop, you can choose from over 10 fish varieties, 8 marinade varieties, and 4 styles (grilled or fried.) We tried the grilled Ahi with their Fish Shop marinade, a cajun dry rub with brown sugar, on a fresh green salad. It was extremely pleasing to our taste-buds and a beautiful sight to behold (take a look down below).
Seasonal catches are available and you can always keep an eye out for daily specials. Plus they have a variety of other classic seafood dishes including “fish shop favorites” like crab cakes, oysters, fish and chips, shrimp cocktail, fried calamari and more.
Personally, I love a good New England clam chowder and let me tell you, the clam chowder at Point Loma Fish Shop is some of the best chowder I’ve ever chowed! We also took on their “fish shop favorites” — The Spicy Dorado Taco and the TKO Taco — both heavenly and delicious. The beer selections do not disappoint at Point Loma Fish Shop. They serve many local San Diego drafts; we went with Mother Earth Cali Creamin, a cream ale classic. Love this place!
