The Rail in Hillcrest is better than ever!
The Rail on the corner of 5th and Robinson in Hillcrest has a lofty claim to fame — it’s the oldest gay bar in San Diego! If you’re a local, you may remember going to one of their “80’s nights” parties in the 2000’s… or in the actual 1980’s. If The Brass Rail has any place in your memory, please note that everything has changed. But don’t worry, there is still a dance floor in the back room.
And change is good.
Besides offering unforgettable signature cocktails, the Rail is also an impressive eatery with a fab brunch, and the interior design oozes sophistication. Chef Chad Brunette and Chef John Hamaker have a kitchen that delivers delicious gourmet bites ranging from buffalo wings, to steak sliders, flatbread and more!
