Each year in San Diego, San Diego Dance Theatre produces Trolley Dances. With Trolley Dances, it’s simple — you get a pass and follow an official Trolley Dances tour guide to unique performances all around San Diego using the trolleys. In years past, sites have included malls, downtown Lemon Grove, City College, downtown San Diego, and many other “trolley friendly” locations. This year in 2015, they surprised everyone with only one short trolley ride and a bus ride! The 2015 theme of Trolley Dances was to celebrate the crown jewel of San Diego, Balboa Park.

Trolley Dances were founded and still currently led by Jean Isaacs. If you’ve never been to Trolley Dances, be sure to join the San Diego Dance Theatre mailing list for ticket information and other great dance and theatre throughout the year.

Here are some snapshots of the 2015 Trolley Dances which featured 7 performances and over 50 dancers! Trolley Dances 2015 featured choreography by Jean Isaacs, Mark Haim, Stephan Koplowitz, Liv Isaacs-Nollet, Anne Gehman and Suzanne Forbes-Vierling. The final performance this year took place at the Mingei International Museum.
